GASIFICATION OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE

SYNTHETIC GAS AS AN ENERGY SOURCE

The elimination and treatment of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) represents a major challenge for its effective management. The waste from our households has a wide range and gasification captures its energy as an recycling alternative by converting garbage into a clean fuel gas with even lower emissions than using Natural Gas for power generation.

With regards to MSW, the significant reduction of the Cohesion Funds for Spain is combined with the obligation to reduce the amount of garbage in landfills.

The MSW gasification produces a synthetic gas, which can be used to produce electricity by using internal combustion engines with highly efficient power outputs and emissions free of toxins and furans.

The synthetic gas – a mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxyde and methane with an high energy value – is generated during gasification using MSW and ST as feedstock.

The gasification module is comprised by a production line with several reactors, a gas cleaning system and an additive dispenser. The amount and composition of the resulting gas depends on the composition of the waste input.

The gas composition can be changed by adjusting the operation parameters of the gasification plant, and an the estimated heating value of the generated gas ranges between approximately 5 and 10 kWh/m2.

OUR CAPABILITIES

Based on synthetic gas production, the Austrian Enviro technology achieves maximum ecological and economic benefits.

Our technology fulfils the strictest air emission limits and one of its major advantages is based on the gas cleaning process, especially the tar elimination.

If you have hydrocarbon garbage and wish to evaluate further details about our technology, Let’s talk!
