The reverse osmosis system is used to reduce the salt content of the water of a maximum content of 50.000 ppm. This so treated water can be used by water supply companies, by the industry, a.s.o. as drinking water. Additional treatment allows to get so called ionized water used in industrial and chemical processes, pharmaceutical as well as in the food industry.

The reverse osmosis technology is a technology eliminating dissolved salts and other impurities by means of half trespassing filter cells. The two liquid flows, one salty, one clean are countercurrent and are pressed through the filter by high pressure. Therefore the process requires high energy input. The pressure has to be higher than the osmotic pressure required for the contaminated water to pass through.

We are using in spiral form packed membranes designed to reach a cleaning rate of up to 99,5% at relatively low pressure and with high volumes to be processed.
